The Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Marketing Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our client base, and positioning PlantQuip Zimbabwe as the preferred equipment hire partner in the construction, mining, and agricultural sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales and marketing plans to grow equipment hire revenue
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and industry stakeholders
- Prepare competitive hire quotations, proposals, and tender documents
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs
- Manage digital and social media marketing campaigns and promotional materials
- Achieve and exceed set sales targets and KPIs
- Provide regular sales performance reports to management
Qualifications & Experience Required
- A degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales within the plant, equipment, or machinery hire industry (this is a non-negotiable requirement)
- Solid understanding of construction, mining, and/or agricultural equipment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation, communication, and client relationship skills
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and CRM systems
- A valid driver’s licence is essential
