The Role
We are seeking a mature, responsible, and experienced Vacuum Truck Driver to join our Interwaste team based in Bulawayo. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vacuum trucks in the collection, transportation, and disposal of liquid and industrial waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate vacuum trucks safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and road regulations
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and operational documentation
- Liaise professionally with clients on-site and uphold the company’s reputation
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times
Requirements
- Valid professional Class 2 driver’s license
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience (havinf driven vacuum trucks an added advantage)
- Strong knowledge of Bulawayo road networks
- Demonstrated maturity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of waste management procedures is an added advantage
- Must be based in Bulawayo
